He absolutely loved it and the whole family were in awe as they looked at the fine detail, admiring all your work. There was reluctance to cut into it but after taking many photos of the garden design, which is now on my dad's ipad to view as a lasting memory, we were able to tuck in
The chocolate sponge was delicious, light and not too sweet and the generous size of the cake meant we were all able to take a slice home with us to enjoy for another day.
You are very talented and I will definitely recommend you to friends and family

**Dear Laura I just wanted to write to say thank you so very much for the absolutely fantastic birthday cake. It is so great and captures for me the Florida Keys experience which I know you know that Rachel and I love. The detail on the cake was so impressive down to the Apple logos on the computer and iPad (Rachel may have alerted you to my Apple obsession) and the text on the Kindle. I loved the little figure (Me) and even the little tummy (sadly mine is larger than you made it). The Mile 0 t-shirt was a master stroke and it’s one of my favourites although being a bit moth eaten now after many seasons of swimming in it and of course the little crocs were fab. The real Larry the egret looks just like you created him and the real signs showing all the distances to places is something I have thought many time of bringing back from Florida for the garden here at home. I think what I am really trying to say is that it was just the best birthday cake I have ever seen and something, which if only in photo form after we eat it all, I will treasure. Thank you so much for making it for me and making such a great piece of art. It tasted great too and so did the scones with jam and clotted cream (Yummy). Jed
